Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using the Gerayo mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").

Gerayo is a public transportation companion app that provides:

• Real-time bus and cable car schedules and tracking
• Route planning and navigation
• Nearby stop discovery
• Ticket purchasing (where available)
• Live departure countdowns

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

If you are under 18, you confirm that you have obtained parental or guardian consent to use the App.

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or its infrastructure
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App to transmit harmful, offensive, or fraudulent content
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or networks
• Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the App without our written permission
• Impersonate any person or entity

The App uses your device's GPS to provide location-based features such as nearby stops, route planning, and real-time tracking.

By using these features, you consent to the collection and use of your location data as described in our Privacy Policy.

While we strive to provide accurate real-time transport data, schedules and arrival times are estimates based on data from transport operators.

Gerayo is not responsible for:

• Delays, cancellations, or changes made by transport operators
• Inaccuracies in third-party transport data
• Service disruptions outside our control

Where ticket purchasing is available:

• All purchases are final unless otherwise stated
• Refunds are subject to the relevant transport operator's policy
• Gerayo acts as an intermediary and is not the transport provider
• You are responsible for ensuring tickets are valid for your journey

All content in the App — including design, graphics, code, and data compilations — is owned by Gerayo or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

The App integrates with third-party services including Google Maps and Firebase. Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of any third-party services.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Gerayo, its officers, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App or your violation of these Terms.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms.

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Rwanda, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Kigali, Rwanda.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by email.

Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
